| Take a walk on our world-renowned Pismo Pier, and enjoy the majestic sunsets of Pismo Beach at this ideal location. The Pismo Pier is a local tradition and home to festivals and events yearround. Gather shells, build sandcastles, or simply relax and watch the sun set over the Pacific, as you gaze into each others eyes. Spectacular sunsets come at no charge. |

| Catch some waves on a surfboard, boogie board, or wakeboard year-round. Wetsuit and board rentals are only a block from the beach. |

| If you prefer traveling by sea, we invite you to explore the caves and tide pools of Pismo Beach on kayak. Paddle along the shore, and discover the incredible Dinosaur Caves. Paddle slowly into caves, and watch sea animals from only a few feet away. In the rocky shores of Shell Beach and Avila Beach, you will be taken aback by the seals, sea lions, and other sea life you will encounter. Kayak rentals are available in Pismo Beach, and north in Shell Beach. Central Coast Kayaks in Shell Beach offers guided tours. |

Hearst Castle
Visit this incomparable piece of architecture and historic landmark of San Simeon. Formerly the palatial home of newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst, it is one of the most popular destinations in California. Guided tours take visits back to the time when Hearst and his family(as well as many Hollywood guests) inhabited the castle, and provide insight on the art, architectural design, and landscape of the castle. The scenic 55-mile journey on the Pacific Coast Hwy from Pismo Beach to San Simeon is worth the trip itself. |
